Posting Job Description

Duties: -Lead the Insight function both within the central research team and also across the local LATAM research teams.

-Create the vision for a consumer-centric and data-driven, next generation media company; elevating the importance of analytics, data science and insight to be a critical component Turner LATAM and all its decision-making processes.

-Execute the transformation required to elevate Turner LATAM's insight function into a data-led, business intelligence function.

-Be the voice of the consumer within the organisation and provide the business intelligence that will drive key decision-making in an increasingly complex media environment.

-Leading business intelligence across a complex business with a broad range of countries and business activities across linear TV channels, digital media, syndication and licensing & merchandising businesses.

-Partner with territory GMs to ensure local research requirements are balanced with regional insight transformation.

-Ensure Turner is at the forefront of driving and adopting new techniques and approaches to primary and secondary research through innovation and creativity.

-Work hand-in-hand with creative, distribution, advertising and marketing teams to provide the intelligence to help drive innovation, creation of new products/services, development of new business models and marketing efficiency.

-Collaborate with other departments within Turner International, Turner Domestic, and Time Warner and its divisions (WB, HBO) to leverage the global scale, brands and data to drive ever more effective business intelligence.

-Build relationships with industry stakeholders, identify and evaluate third parties that are driving innovation in research and insight within and outside the media industry.

Qualifications: -A business intelligence leader, preferably within media sector, ideally with a focus on digital media.

-A data and analytics visionary, with the commercial acumen, relationships skills and enthusiasm to drive through change in a complex organisation.

-Capacity to manage portfolio of complex projects and large multicultural and multifunctional teams.

-Inquisitive, insightful and analytical mind with the ability to decipher the implications of the major developments in the media world and identify the growth opportunities for Turner.

-Passionate and enthusiastic individual with excellent executive communication and relationship building skills; comfortable dealing with senior management and senior industry stakeholders.

-First rate communication skills, ability to summarise accurately and concisely.

-Understanding and awareness of key trends and issues in the major media markets in Latin America and of new media ventures and technology trends globally.

-Understanding of digital research tools and methodologies across owned and operated platforms (e.g. Omniture for web/apps) and third party platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, social monitoring tools).

-Ideally will have a familiarity with people meter, online measurement, analytics services and syndicated media studies across the region.

-Experience in - and ability to - integrate multiple sources and types of data into a data management framework, enabling the business to derive key consumer insights.

-Knowledge of commissioning and managing primary qualitative and quantitative research projects on a multi-market (pan-LATAM) basis.

-Experience in developing, hiring and leading teams.

-Fluent in English and Spanish, Portuguese a plus.
