What does our department do?
Turner Data Cloudbrings together all of Turner’s consumer data in one place in order toallow us to serve better content, ads and marketing messages to our consumes. This is an exciting time to be in the Media industry as it’s evolving rapidly to stay ahead of how audiences are consuming content anywhere, at any time and on any device, and find new ways to target them and monetize our content. Turner is leading the way and you get to be a part of this fast-paced dynamic environment.
What will you be doing?
Learn about Turner, the industry and the specific systems(s) that you will be working on
Work on the latest platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, Elasticsearch etc. to make this data available to users across Turner
Work with new technologies and create proof of concepts on their use within TDC
Help test functionality and provide feedback or log issues as necessary
Assist with customer UAT(s)
Assist withproduct documentation as needed
What do we require from you?
Bachelor’s Degree ComputerScience, MIS, BBA or equivalent or a Senior working towards a Bachelor’s degree
Knowledge of Hadoop, Spark or other Data Management technologies
Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Good communication skills (written/verbal), with emphasis on demonstrated ability to translate concepts/user needs between businessand technical groups
Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate
Enthusiasm and a passion to learn and make an impact on the team

Internship dates are May 22, 2018 – August 3, 2018. All interns are expected to work 40 hours per week, and paid competitively based on location (relocation is not provided). Participation in the internship program is reserved for students who are currently enrolled or within 6 months post-graduation. Most positions are targeted to upperclassmen and graduate students. Candidates must be qualified and available to work at the time the application is submitted. Full-time employment is not guaranteed at the end of the program.
