What part will you play?

You will lead the vulnerability management program as part of the organization's Counter Threat Unit (CTU). The CTU's primary purpose is to serve as the company's first line of defense against cyber security threats. This mission includes protecting leading edge technology for some of the largest websites and broadcast environments in the world including, CNN, TBS, TNT, bleacher report, etc. The team is also charged with ensuring the cyber security of news correspondents and offices across the globe in a wide variety of locations.

What will you be doing?

  • Owns the vulnerability management program for the Turner Information Security Organization
  • Manages a team of vulnerability management analysts
  • Responsible for architecting, building, deploying and maintaining the vulnerability management infrastructure within the organization
  • Promotes expansion of vulnerability management scope into new environments and businesses
  • Oversees and performs analysis of vulnerability results
  • Works to identify asset owners for vulnerable devices
  • Develops risk based remediation plans for vulnerabilities, prioritizing priorities for responsible teams
  • Coordinates vulnerability remediation and validation
  • Performs analysis of newly discovered threats and identifies risks that may exist within our organization
  • Provides consultative services to business leaders on risk related vulnerabilities
  • Develops and coordinates containment plans for newly identified vulnerabilities that may create a risk for the organization
  • Lead work groups and/or functions as a tech expert within this area
  • Identifies opportunities to create and/or enhance existing processes
  • Responsible for analysis and reporting of vulnerability risk as it relates to the organization
  • Provides executive briefings of risks that exist to the organization
  • Mentors and trains staff and/other team members in vulnerability management and awareness
  • Prioritization of vulnerabilities, attack techniques, tool/exploit development, intelligence analysis and adversarial tactics

What do we require from you?

  • 1-2+ years of experience as a manager with emphasis on IT Security and technical solutions highly preferred
  • 7-10 years of cyber security experience specifically working in the information security field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of security industry standards and leading practices (e.g. PCI, OWASP, NIST, CIS, CVSS, CVSSv3)
  • Strong Windows and Linux systems administration experience
  • Experience with enterprise network architecture
  • SME of enterprise and open source vulnerability identification solutions
  • Must be able to simplify security and technical concepts for teams within our business and technology teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage a wide variety of work streams simultaneously, and under deadline
  • Ability to utilize best in class practices and determine best remediation path
  • Expert knowledge of OWASP and SANS testing methodologies
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other standard (Customer specified) applications
  • Experience performing risk assessment and analysis within information technologies
  • CEH or similar certifications highly desired
  • Data analytics experience; experience with BI tools like Tableau and Qlikview a plus But wait, there’s more!
