What part will you play?

  • Turner Sports Digital Research and Analytics is looking for a Senior Analyst for its premiere branded-portfolio of online, mobile and video-on-demand properties such as NBA.com, PGA.com, BleacherReport.com, NCAA.com and March Madness Live. The Turner Sports Digital Research group works with the executive leadership team on strategic decisions that affect every level of the organization. This team is tasked with understanding how the consumer interacts with sports content across multiple digital platforms
  • The Senior Analyst will play a key role on a fast-paced team by helping provide analytics and strategic recommendations to business leads. The ideal candidate for this position enjoys immersing themselves in data and finding insights, working with diverse teams, advancing the use of clickstream and testing data, building strong relationships, and exploring new technology. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with digital analytics tools, digital media tactics, and analysis to inform recommendations
  • This position supports multiple internal clients including editorial, product development, design & user experience, web and app development, and executive teams. The Senior Analyst will report to the Senior Manager of Turner Sports Digital Research and Analytics

What will you be doing?

  • This team is tasked with understanding how the consumer interacts with sports content across multiple digital platforms
  • Collect, verify, analyze and summarize data using a variety of digital analytics tools to derive compelling insights and highlight performance trends that can be used for audience growth, improving user experience and increasing content consumption
  • Conduct in depth analyses of performance across a variety of strategic online and mobile projects and product launches, present recommendations to product owners and senior management
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to develop measurement strategies andtracking requirements
  • Collaborate with digital product managers, web operations, editorial and design & user experience to develop and execute testing and research programs
  • Assist with quantitative and qualitative research to support digital initiatives such as content development, site satisfaction and usability, product development, and new business initiatives
  • Maintain, update, and distribute actionable dashboards to ensure data governance and democratization
  • Maintain and distribute daily, weekly and event reports

What do we require from you?

  • 2+ years of digital analytics experience
  • A solid understanding of digital analytics tools and methodologies
  • Significant experience working with Adobe Site Catalyst or Google Analytics
  • Experience with syndicated research products such as comScore Media Metrix
  • Proven track record of developing methodsto collect and analyze data, disseminate findings and informing business leaders
  • Hands on experience with data manipulation, database querying, and data analysis is a must
  • Solid background in the design and implementation of research studies and analysis, directly supporting decisions about content and digital products is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills including extensive experience with Pivot Tables, IF statements, lookups and text parsing
  • Ability to develop presentations with proven data interpretation capabilities
  • Familiarity with web optimization tools, heat maps and session replay tools is a plus
  • Experience with BI tools, such as Tableau or Arcadia, is a plus
  • Working knowledge of data warehouses, data transformation, data modeling, report design / development and BI dashboard design / development is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a group

  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a desire to learn new tools and technologies

  • Excellent communication skills for conveying analysis and recommendations to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to effectively balance various tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting or competing priorities in a fast-paced working environment
  • Strong quantitative reasoning skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree
